Meet Willow and Wilbur’s Irish Golden Retrievers
Willow and Wilbur’s puppies are ready to fill their new homes with Golden Retriever joy! This is a very friendly, well socialized litter, full of the classic warm, happy nature that makes Goldens such wonderful family dogs. They love their toys, tumble and play together with the other dogs, and light up whenever it’s time to head outside. This is our only Irish Golden Retriever litter for the next couple of years, and we can’t wait to see each of these sweet puppies settle in with their new families.
Meet the parents
Willow, the mom, is our beautiful red Irish Golden Retriever, half field Golden and half Irish Setter, at 42 lbs. Willow is a very sweet, affectionate girl with an endearing nature, and she’s happiest when she’s with her people. She comes from our own Irish Golden line, that we have worked with for over 20 years, and this special litter is her last before she retires to a well-earned life of leisure. One of her daughters is staying right here with us to carry on her line, so we’re thrilled to share her litter with families like yours. Willow is OFA screened for hips (Good), elbows (Normal) and heart (Normal), CAER eye certified, and DNA clear of PRA-rcd1. See Willow’s health clearances
Wilbur, the dad, is our handsome cream AKC Golden Retriever from European lines, at about 70 lbs. Wilbur is a gentle teddy bear with a soft heart, a friendly hello for everyone and a tail that never stops wagging. Together, Willow and Wilbur bring field Golden, European Golden and a splash of Irish Setter into one wonderful litter. Wilbur is OFA screened for hips (Good), elbows (Normal) and heart (Normal), CAER eye certified, and DNA clear of NCL5. See Wilbur’s health clearances
Field and European Golden lines, with a touch of Irish Setter
We love pairing field Golden Retrievers with European imported Golden lines, and this litter shows off the best of both. These puppies are one-half European Golden, one-quarter field Golden and one-quarter Irish Setter. Every Golden Retriever carries a little Irish Setter from the breed’s 1800s beginnings, and Willow’s side of the family carries a bit more. Read why we pair these lines
Raised with our family
These puppies have grown up surrounded by love and laughter. Our children, elementary age to teens, cuddle and play with every litter daily, starting the week the puppies are born. Each puppy had Early Neurological Stimulation in the first weeks, then socialization following Jan Fennell’s Amichien Bonding method. Crate training has already started, giving your puppy a happy head start on house training.

“She was the best dog I’ve ever owned… I like to tell people she was an Irish Setter outside and a Golden Retriever in the house. Meaning outside she was very energetic, but once she came inside, she was very mellow.”
